Report from Manila, The Philippines posted by Shawn Tribe (courtesy of New Liturgical Movement)

One of our readers in the Philippines has sent in the following photographs of the usus antiquior offered in Manila, in the diocese of Cubao.

They seem quite active and report the following:

"In early 2007, the community was transferred to the Parish of the Lord of the Divine Mercy and after Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict XVI took effect, the Sunday TLM's continued and Fr. Zerrudo has now been celebrating private TLM's daily every since. Around 70 to 100 people assist the Traditional Latin Mass every Sunday and has continued to attract young people.

"The community, Ecclesia Dei of St. Joseph, is now in the process of forming a more regular and formal choir and altar servers. Another activity of the community is the weekly Apologetics Round Table discussions by the Defensores Fidei Foundation that started last January 12, 2008."
